Sorry to hear that. Often the best referrals you can get on mechanics and other service providers are from family and friends. Not infallible, but I think better than relying on people you don't know. Hope your weekend gets better.

Hey sweetie, thanks for doing this. I'm much interested about this cz there are very very little sources on japanese american dv in america. It's very taboo, I think. I resent it.

But one question, at what stage is the normal concensus of a "dv"? Verbal abuse? Shoving? Monitoring? Kicking? Slapping? Delabeling? Forced sexual intercourse?

I think, some cultures have different boundaries, don't they? Like corporal punishment? dv is unfortunately not very black and white.. I'd love to see an anonymous pole of what's dv, what's acceptable. In asian american culture .

Besides.. Men who beats women never sees himself as being domestically violent. He's always just "messin' around, showin' some lovin." (it makes me so sick when I hear that.) these people are not very cognitive. Isn't the universal reason for dv not going away, because we don't want to label our personal experiences as dv? Because we as social creatures want to downplay? And want to pride ourselves in knowing better than to be involved in dv?

But again, it's not that black and white. I would imagine majority is in the gray area, not knowing what to see it as.

So.. That's what I think.
Very difficult, bit heartbreaking.
